About the Digital Identity Lab
A KPMG demonstration environment
The Digital Identity Lab is a secure, invitation-only environment that KPMG uses to demonstrate how modern digital identity works in practice. Rather than describing identity verification, recovery, and assurance in the abstract, the Lab lets clients walk through realistic journeys end to end and see how the experience, security, and risk trade-offs come together.
What you can explore
- Identity verification — onboarding journeys that combine document and biometric checks to establish identity with a level of assurance proportionate to the risk.
- Account recovery — secure, fraud-resistant paths for users who have lost access, designed to keep legitimate users moving while frustrating attackers.
- Assurance and step-up authentication — risk-based decisions that ask for more confidence only when an action warrants it.
How it is built
The Lab is a self-contained demonstration platform. It is deliberately vendor-neutral so that journeys can illustrate patterns rather than promote a single product, and it is kept separate from any production system. Sessions use synthetic data created for demonstration purposes — the Lab does not hold or process real customer records.
Who it is for
The Lab supports guided evaluation sessions between KPMG and its clients. Participants are invited by their KPMG engagement contact and given access scoped to their organization's environment. It is intended for professional evaluation, not for public use.
Request access
Access is by invitation. If you are working with KPMG and would like to use the Lab, please get in touch or speak with your KPMG contact.
